Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, ground flaxseed, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until fully combined.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips, distributing them evenly throughout the mixture.
Once the mixture is well combined, use your hands to roll small portions (about 1 inch in diameter) into balls.
Place the energy balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate.
Once all the mixture is rolled into balls, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm them up.
Store the energy balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
