Instructions
Prepare your workspace by laying out parchment paper on a baking sheet. This will be where you place the chocolate-covered Oreos to set.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave on high in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
Once melted, take an Oreo and dip it into the chocolate mixture, using a fork to ensure it's fully coated. Lift the Oreo out, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
Place the coated Oreo on the prepared parchment paper and repeat the process with the remaining cookies.
In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips using the same method (30-second intervals).
Once melted, use a small piping bag or a fork to drizzle the melted white chocolate over the chocolate-covered Oreos for a decorative touch.
If desired, sprinkle crushed nuts or sprinkles over the cookies for added texture and color before the chocolate sets.
Allow the chocolate-covered Oreos to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or place them in the refrigerator for quicker setting.
Once set, carefully remove the Oreos from the parchment and store them in an airtight container.
Notes
Allow the chocolate to set completely for best results.
