6
large
eggs
1
cup
milk
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
1
teaspoon
ground cinnamon
1/2
cup
maple syrup
1/2
cup
chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
to taste
powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Open the cans of cinnamon rolls and cut each roll into quarters. Place them evenly in the greased baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and maple syrup until smooth and well combined.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the cinnamon rolls in the baking dish, ensuring that the rolls are all coated.
If you’re using nuts, sprinkle them evenly on top of the casserole.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
Allow the casserole to cool for about 5 minutes before drizzling the icing from the cinnamon roll cans over the top.
For an extra touch, dust powdered sugar over the casserole before serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, serve with fresh fruit and additional maple syrup.
